Lienz
Where the Drautal Valley meets with Val Pusteria and the Iseltal Valley, there lies the friendly town of Lienz.

Lienz is the tourism centre and cultural heart of East Tyrol and well-known for its Mediterranean flair. Antique buildings are spread across the whole town. There is for instance Bruck Castle, hosting the museum of the city of Lienz and an Albin Egger-Lienz exhibition, or Tammer Castle, which organizes concerts and cultural events on a regular basis. Moreover, numerous memorials and monuments as well as the only evangelic church of East Tyrol are waiting to be discovered in the alleys and streets of Lienz.
Numerous highlight are waiting for you. Covering an area of 80,000 sqm, the Assling Wild Park e.g. introduces you to more than 100 local animal species. And hiking along the marked paths is especially popular with families and children. Countless hiking trails are found also in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Look forward to mighty mountain peaks, waterfalls and a rich flora and fauna far away from the hectic of the town.
In winter, the surroundings offer 3 skiing areas. Hochstein, Zettersfeld and the beginner slope Haidenhof provide the ideal backgrounds for relaxing moments in the middle of sparkling white snow. Skiing fun at its best is guaranteed!
