The surrounding valley is characterised by the Leutascher Ache river and stretches throughout a 15 km long area at the bottom of the Wetterstein mountain range. Experience the serenity and peace of untouched nature with its high rocky ridges, impetuous mountain streams and colourful pastures. 450 km of hiking trails take you to the most beautiful spots of the area. Mountain bikers can rejoice in numerous cycling trails and MTB tours. Known as a quite adventurous and at times even spooky destination is the Leutasch gorge, the so-called “gorge of spirits”. The trail winds for a km through this spectacular gorge, which - with its vertical cliffs and daredevil platforms - is definitely worth seeing!

Winter turns Leutasch into an ideal winter resort. At a distance of only 2 km you find the Neuleutasch lift facilities, the ideal spot for beginners, and more than 80 km of winter hiking trails in the surroundings are waiting to be discovered. The ski resort Leutasch/Kreithlift features some 15 km of ski runs for all ages and abilities. Four ski lifts and gondolas take you to the highest point at 1,605 m asl.
