The largest high-altitude pasture of Europe ist a region of international fame and lies right at the bottom of beautiful Sciliar mountain.

The Alpe di Siusi region was once the home of legendary troubadour Oswald von Wolkenstein. Still today, one of the best known cultural events of the Sciliar Plateau - the Oswald von Wolkenstein horse ride - is named after the medieval troubadour. But Alpe di Siusi is also known as the realm of legends and myths. Numerous legends tell mystic stories about witches and dwarfs and create a special magic atmosphere.

The unique shape of the Sciliar mountain is the emblem of South Tyrol. Hiking across Alpe di Siusi region promises outstanding experiences.
