Whether you take the Vilpiano cable car or travel along the panoramic road starting off in Terlano - both ways will take you to the picturesque mountain village of Meltina.

Besides its main village, Meltina includes the three hamlets of Frassinato, Vallesina and Salonetto. The sunny plateau of Meltina boasts quaint little churches situated on rich green hills and numerous breath-taking views.

The surroundings are a popular hiking area, with deep-blue mountain lakes, ponds, Alpine pastures, meadows and mixed woodlands. Even climbers can look forward to a special kind of experience. Our recommandation: discover the area while riding on the good-natured local Avelignese horses!

A special highlight is the Holy Mass right at the summit of a near-by mountain, celebrated on the second Sunday in July. The holy ritual attracts not only lovers of nature. And on August 15th, Meltina organises its local parish fair!
