Val Gardena

The tributary valley of Val d’Isarco begins at Ponte Gardena, continues to the east and ends near to the mountain saddles of Passo Gardena and Passo Sella..

Val Gardena includes three municipalities: Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva Gardena. All three of them are attractive tourism centres. Especially winter sports are popular activities in the valley and the latter boasts the ideal prerequisites for it. Val Gardena - also known as the Gröden Valley - is part of the Sella Ronda ski region and features a renowned hiking and climbing area. The Puez-Odles Nature Park provide a natural scenery of unbelievable scenery.

Did you know that Val Gardena is one of the two valleys, where besides the Italian and German language also the Ladin language is still spoken? And besides a stunning natural scenery, Val Gardena is famous for producing refined and self-made wood sculptures.
