Riva del Garda
With its picturesque bays and harbours, Riva del Garda has become one of the most renowned venues for windsurfers and sailors alike.
Altitude: 70 m asl
While in the morning it is the Pelèr wind from the north, it is the Ora wind coming from the south in the afternoon that creates the best windsurfing conditions ever. The ultimate windsurfing experience is guaranteed!
The majestic design of the so-called “palazzi” in the historic city centre dates back to a time, when the Venetians still dominated over the town. Built in 1124, the town’s fortress “Rocca di Riva” resembles a little island at the shores of Lake Garda. Today it hosts the Civic Museum and the “pinacoteca”.
Riva borders the Monte Rochetta in the west and the Monte Baldo in the east. This amazing location in the middle of high mountains and the near-by lake give the place a picturesque and romantic flair.
