Seefeld in Tirol

Some 20 km west of Innsbruck, surrounded by the Karwendel Nature Reserve, the Wetterstein mountain chain and the Wildmoos Nature Park, lies the exclusive holiday resort of Seefeld in Tirol.

Ranging from rafting, squash, golf (18 holes), mountain biking and mini golf in summer to ice skating, cross-country skiing and Alpine skiing in winter, the variety of offers is simply huge. Lake Wildmoossee and Lake Wildsee are popular destinations and the best place to relax on hot summer days. Lake Wildsee boasts moreover the Reither Moor Nature Reserve, which is home to rare types of plants and animals.

Advanced hiking trails are found in the mountains of the surroundings. The Rosshütte and Gschwandtkopf cable cars take you to the best starting points for numerous high-altitude hikes, offering an enchanting panoramic view. The Eppziler Alm or the Grosse Ahrnspitze are just some of the countless pastures and summits you may explore. Definitely worth seeing is the so-called Ötzihütte, an Alpine inn named after the legendary Iceman with an interesting exhibition up the stairs. Even a petting zoo, a wildlife park and a big playground are provided. In winter, Seefeld boasts a total of 4 skiing areas. The skiing areas Bergbahnen Rosshütte, Birkenlift, Geigenbühellift and Gschwandtkopf - the so-called Olypic Region Seefeld - provide high-altitude skiing fun for all abilities.
